December 2011 Greetings Cards Campaign and Write for Rights
Our annual Greetings Card Campaign meeting was held on Thursday 8th December. This year, to mark the 50th anniversary of AI, there is an extra dimension to the Greetings Card Campaign, with the possibility of writing to the relevant authorities about 10 of the cases.
Swindon and Marlborough Amnesty group set up a display of the Amnesty 50th Anniversary posters in West Swindon library for two weeks in December.
On 10th December, the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, people visiting the library were able to take part in the Write for Rights campaign by signing letters for the individuals featured in the campaign.
