Your words are powerful - join the Write for Rights Campaign 2022

For more than twenty years members of Amnesty International have been writing letters and sending greeting cards that have literally changed lives as part of the Write for Rights Campaign. 

This year, here in Stratford on Avon we have selected just four of the many cases which Amnesty International are supporting.  

When just a handful of people unite behind someone, the results can be amazing.

The four cases we have selected in 2022 are:

Vahid Afkari from Iran tortured and jailed simply for protesting

Nasser Zefzafi from Morocco/Western Sahara locked up for 20 years for demanding change

Aleksandra Skolchilenko from Russia in jail for opposing the invasion of Ukraine

Joanah Mamombe, Cecillia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova from Zimbabwe Abducted, beaten, sexually assaulted and jailed for protesting
