We were delighted to welcome Tom Ciotkowski to our October meeting. Tom is a British/Stratford man who was recently arrested in France after documenting police abuse against migrants, refugees and volunteers in Calais. He told us in vivid and engaging style about what he witnessed in Calais and the way he was treated by the French police. It was a good reminder of the determination needed to uphold human rights in difficult situations. He was eventually found not guilty of the charges against him.
