Lockdown charity fundraiser

Congratulations to our group chair Penny Freedman who memorised and recited the whole of Macbeth during lockdown and raised more than £2,000 pounds for good causes. The money will be split between Welcome Here Stratford-upon-Avon our sister charity which supports the Syrian families who have made their new homes in Stratford and the NSPCC

The 'quality of mercy' in this case was certainly 'twice blessed' in that Penny was able to provide daily entertainment for us while supporting these very worthwhile causes.
