Welcoming and sharing with asylum seekers

You are very welcome to join us to hear about the experience of welcoming and sharing with asylum seekers at our meeting at the Friends' Meeting House, 37, Maidenhead Road, Stratford on Avon at 7.30p.m. on June 11th.

Our speakers will be Ernest Cruchley and Helen Bryan, members of the Halesowen Welcome Group (in connection with the Churches Together in Halesowen). Five years ago the Welcome Group was established to help asylum seekers and refugees settle into Halesowen and surrounding areas. Since then more than 200 people and their dependents from 40 different countries have attended the Group. The speakers will describe their experiences of working with refugees and asylum seekers, and give insights into the problems and issues faced by these people.
