Join us for two very special speakers with first hand and expert knowledge of Egypt

“Egypt – an ongoing revolution – do human rights have a chance?”  Salah Seoudy (President of University of Sussex Amnesty Society) will give an update on Morsi’s year in power and also of his first-hand experience of the sit-in on 14^th August, 2013 which was brutally dispersed.  Ann Marcus (Amnesty Egypt Country Coordinator) will focus on Amnesty’s 16 days of activism against Gender Violence (25^th November – 10^th December 2013). 

 

The evening will be held at the Friends' Meeting House, 37 Maidenhead Road, Stratford on Avon, beginning at 7.30 with refreshments and announcements (there will be no business meeting).  The talk(s) and discussion will begin soon after 7.45 and run until about 9.15.”
