Amnesty Voices from Prison – open-air readings by Amnesty members and supporters

You are invited to drop in and join poets, passers-by, actors, readers and Amnesty supporters for street readings to celebrate Poetry Sunday this Sunday, July 7th between 1.15 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. on the Cornmarket, Stratford-upon-Avon. The event is part of Stratford-upon-Avon 60th poetry festival and will follow immediately after a personal selection of poetry by Amnesty supporter and RSC Honorary Associate Artist Jane Lapotaire, in the nearby Guild Chapel.

Both events are free, Jane Lapotaire’s reading begins at 12.00 p.m. so come along to them both and listen to some moving and inspiring poems in a street café atmosphere. The Cornmarket is in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, opposite the Town Hall at the junction of Sheep Street and High Street, you’ll be very welcome and find some friendly faces.
