Fundraising Theatre Performance

We are delighted to invite you to join us for an unforgettable Amnesty International UK fundraising theatre performance of HOME written by David Storey and performed by Company of Ten.

The performance will take place on 29th June 2023 at 7.30 pm at Abbey Theatre Studio, Abbey Theatre, Westminster Lodge, St Albans AL1 2DL. Here is a synopsis of the play:

Five people meet, exchange pleasantries and make small talk in an informal garden on a mild autumnal day. While their conversation seems inconsequential, they gradually reveal, through their comments and anecdotes, what brings them together.

This whimsical and enigmatic play examines attitudes to lost love, abandoned aspirations, loneliness and social class in a quintessentially English way. It is both tragic and amusing in its compassionate observation of human interaction and the importance of connection.
