Greetings cards signing
Every year the group has held a signing to enable people to send cards to individual prisoners of conscience around the world.
This year, we selected individuals from the Yemen; Nigeria; China and Algeria. It was a very cold day but we were lucky the bad weather held off to enable the signings to go ahead. Numbers were not large -- most seemed preoccupied with their Christmas shopping! -- but nevertheless, we were kept busy with a steady flow of people signing cards until noon. Just over 100 cards were signed.
Dick Bellringer had a letter published in the Salisbury Journal recently (15 December) with a plea for people to spare a few moments at Christmas to sign a card for prisoners of conscience.
