Letter-writing

We held four monthly letter-writing sessions between September and December.

Street Collection

On 1^st October, we organised a street collection in Saffron Walden. The collection including pennies and later donations banked £883. A further £90 was taken through card-readers/phones. Not a bad result considering that another charity was licensed to collect on the same day!

Card-signing

Our group work for the Write for Rights campaign 2022. We have written cards to individuals across the world who are in serious trouble as a result of their protests. We have also written to the authorities in their respective countries, showing our solidarity and urging review of these cases. 

To encourage more people to get involved, we held card-signing sessions at St. Mary’s Parish Church in Saffron Walden, the Friends’ Meeting House, the County High School and the Town Library.
