Our next meeting will be on Thursday 11th December. As usual we'll meet from 8pm to 9.30pm at the Twickenham Club, 7 Church Street TW1 3NJ.

Regular members will know that, at this last meeting of the calendar year, we always spend the time writing cards and/or letters to prisoners of conscience worldwide, or other persecuted individuals who feature in Amnesty's current Write for Rights booklet. Some of you will already have received your booklets and may even have written cards, but we hope that you will come along on the 11th and write some more. Booklets will be available for those who do not have one.

Usually members bring cards which we share. It is good to have a variety - some religious and some not, some with Amnesty's logo (although this can be unacceptable in some countries), but all with a message of solidarity and hope for the future.

In spite of grim times, we celebrate the festive season with a glass of something nice and a few snacks. Any contributions are welcome, as are all members and newcomers!
