October 2018 Monthly Meeting

We are extremely fortunate this October to welcome not just one speaker, but two to our monthly meeting.

David Dick from the Palestine Britain Business Council will be joined by former Consul-General for Jerusalem, Sir Vincent Fean .

After many years working as a Vice President and Senior Executive in various International IT Companies - as well as living and working in the Middle East -  David has been promoting opportunities for both Palestinian businesses and individuals in the occupied territories. He has been specifically promoting  IT Opportunities in Palestine and continues to do this with the Palestine Britain Business Council.

During more than three years as Consul-General in Jerusalem, Sir Vincent Fean KVCO OStJ was responsible locally for British Government relations with the Palestinians in Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank. Sir Vincent focused on two issues: work to preserve and advance the two-state solution and to strengthen British-Palestinian relations at all levels. He talked frequently with President Abbas and escorted him on two visits to the UK.

Following a distinguished career in the Diplomatic Service,  Sir Vincent now chairs the Balfour project which seeks to shed light on Britain's past and present responsibilities in the Holy Land and advocates British Government recognition of the State of Palestine alongside Israel.  He keeps in close touch with political and economic developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and his charity-related educational, fundraising and advocacy efforts are aimed at improving Palestinian life and the prospects for a just peace between the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.

Our meeting will be on Thursday, 11th October from 8pm - 9.30pm at The Twickenham Club, 7, Church Street, Twickenham,TW1 3NJ.

All are welcome to join us for this opportunity to learn more about current conflicts in the Middle East and efforts to find a solution for them.
