July 2013 Meeting and Forthcoming Summer Events

At our July monthly meeting, as well as addressing urgent actions and signing petitions, we also discussed the recent vandalism of the public artwork commemorating the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights outside the Civic Centre in Twickenham. Several of the figures were forcibly removed and we have reported the matter to the police and council.

Thanks to all those who helped to raise over £50 for AIUK at our craft stall at Elleray Hall on Saturday 15th June.

Unfortunately our next craft stall on Saturday 20th July has been cancelled because of the recent heatwave. We are now channelling our efforts into fundraising at autumn and winter events.

There will be no August monthly meeting for R&T Amnesty as usual.

At our September (12th) meeting, our speaker will be Kate Cargin, who will talk to us about visiting Palestine.
