December Meeting 2018

As this year has seen the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR),  we decided to mark the event before our monthly meeting on 13th December, by holding a short meeting at our Human Rights Artwork, which is situated between Twickenham Town Hall and the car park in front of York House, just on the edge of the the A305, Richmond Road.  John Reekie prepared a brief address to help us remember all those whose rights under the UDHR have been violated and for whom Amnesty has worked.

Afterwards, we went to the Twickenham Club to distribute materials for Amnesty's Write for Rights Campaign.
