Perth Amnesty Tayside Triathlon Fundraising Challenge 2022
August 13th was one of the hottest days of the year in Tayside, but,
undeterred, Amnesty supporters took up one of the Triathlon challenges by
scaling two of the peaks in the Ben Lawers Traverse; Ben Lawers, which is
just short of 4000 ft and Beinn Ghlas. The high temperatures undoubtedly
made it very hard going, but with good visibility under cloud free skies the
fantastic views made for a memorable day.
The following weekend Amnesty supporters tackled one of the other
Triathalon challenges by cycling the 32 mile route around Loch Tay.
Fortunately temperatures were more favourable so, despite some brisk
headwinds, steeper than expected gradients and one puncture, everyone
managed to complete the distance-some in faster times than others!
The next group climb for the Traverse is planned for 10th September so please
