This week: Amnesty Screenings & Vigil for Palestine

Boy with head in his hands amongst rubble

Our next vigil is this Saturday 31st January.

Amnesty Screenings’s next film show is this Wednesday, 28th January at 7.30, flyer attached.

Re-Building Gaza

While United States President Donald Trump and a group of world leaders gathered in Davos, Switzerland, to sign the charter of the so-called Board of Peace and unveil glossy reconstruction plans, the killing in Gaza continued.

The sickening sight of states and individuals lining up to cash-in on building projects contrasted sharply with the reality on the ground in devastated Gaza, still awaiting food and medical aid while they freeze in flooded makeshift shelters.

International journalists are still denied unfettered access to enter Gaza.

Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions

In our own small way Cromer Vigils is trying to bring down the companies supporting Israeli apartheid. We do not hold ourselves up as  experts and anyone with corrections or further information please let us know. We invite anyone to help us compile a new monthly chart over the next few months.

Do check Ethical Consumer which offers alternatives https://www.ethicalconsumer.org/ethicalcampaigns/boycotts/alternative-e…; Attached is a list of products taken from their website.

Local findings:

We will be contacting local supermarket managers when we have done a thorough investigation.

And don’t forget the Norfolk Divest campaign Norfolk Divest  which reveals that the Norfolk Pension Fund is investing over £160 million annually in complicit Israeli companies.   See Norfolk Divest on facebook and Instagram.

Thanks as ever for supporting the Cromer Vigils and Amnesty Screenings.
