Write for Rights 2022 Coffee Morning

The Minehead Group of Amnesty International will be hosting a coffee morning at the Avenue Methodist Church, Minehead on Friday 9 December from 1000 to 1200. As well as enjoying coffee and cake, visitors will be able to sign cards and letters for human rights defenders – people who are in prison or facing threats to their safety, simply for speaking out against human rights abuses. The group will be focusing on individuals at risk in Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Cameroon and Russia – some of the cases featured in this year’s global ‘Write for Rights’ campaign.
