Minehead was represented at the SW Regional Conference

Four members of the Minehead Group attended Amnesty's South West Regional Conference on Saturday 7 March. We had an interesting day hearing inspiring talks by brave human rights activists from Brazil and Venezuela. The Director of Amnesty International UK, Kate Allen, also spoke and brought us up to date with developments at the national and international level. We participated in a range of workshops and took part in the lunch-time photo action in front of Exeter Cathedral. All in all it was a very informative and worthwhile day.
