Minehead Group's April 2022 newsletter

Our April newsletter includes reports of our recent events, such as the fund-raising quiz, and our attendance at the SW regional conference. There is an account of one of the conference talks which was on the UK's disfunctional immigration and asylum system and our government's inhumane policy on the treatment of asylum seekers. But despite what is happening at national level, the Minehead and District Refugee Group has been busy sending cards and gifts to refugee families settled in nearby towns. The group is also planning further summer breaks by the seaside for some of the families.

The newsletter sets out a number of actions we can all take this month, together with a list of diary dates. There is also a tribute to our friend and active member, Judith Ward, who sadly died at the beginning of March.
