AmnesTEA raises £455!

The Minehead Group held a very successful AmnesTEA on the afternoon of 26 August in Susan's garden in Carhampton. Despite grey skies and drizzle at lunchtime, the rain held off in the afternoon so we were very lucky. Approximately 60 people attended and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves - drinking tea, chatting with friends, eating scones and cakes, looking round the garden and browsing the stalls. There were stalls selling cakes and produce, books and Traidcraft goods, as well as a raffle and an Amnesty information stand and side-shows. We also involved our visitors in a photo action in support of Women in Afghanistan. We raised £455 for Amnesty, so it was well worth all the hard work.
