Treasurers Report & Fundraising

Discussion on moving bank account from Santandar/Mary to investigate Nationwide

£458 in account – money from Morrison’s yet to be added.

Morrison’s in Strood with 3 members raised £105 – thank you to Mary & Ted on a very cold day

Discussion on having a stall at the Hempstead Fair on the 19^th May (Sunday) – however we do need some helpers so no decision taken as yet

Agreed to have a stand again at Dickens Festival on Saturday 1^st June – Ian to Action

Discussion on Street Collection and where – agreed Rochester provisional dates 20 or 27^th July - Mary to Action

Arms Trade Treaty - Ted and Rosemary had cards which Ted handed out for people to sign and send off to their MP  - Reminder the July 2012 UN Diplomatic Conference ended in a draft agreement which can be fixed if key loopholes are closed.  Final negotiations take place March 2013 so lobby your MP now

Planning for AGM 2012

Ted had contacted Richard Solly however two provisional dates now agreed of May or August – Rosemary to contact Richard re speaking at the AGM

Any other business:

Campaign for Women’s Rights in Afghanistan An information and Skill Share day on March 9^th free event but need to know if anyone wants to attend – Human Rights Action Centre London. This is to coincide with International Women’s Day.

Ted had completed signatures for Shaker Aamer in Guantanamo – Ted to send off
