Act of Witness, 17 December

Every year the Mayfair and Soho group remembers by name over 200 people from nearly 100 countries for whom Amnesty has worked. With readings of human rights-related poetry and prose and the lighting of candles and laying of flowers it is a powerful and moving event which keeps people's names alive and reminds us why we work for human rights. It is also a major fundraising event, as we are sponsored for the number of names we read.
