Act of Witness, 12 December

Every year the Mayfair and Soho group does an Act of Witness, when we remember by name over 200 people for whom Amnesty has worked. It's a powerful reminded of why we are in Amnesty -working for the human rights of individual men , women and children - as well as being a fundraiser, as we are sponsored for the number of names read. 

The event will be at 6.30 on Tuesday 12 December at Central YMCA, 113 Great Russell Street, WC1 (close to Tottenham Court Road station). 

This year it will be a special event, as we are inviting all the other Amnesty groups in London to join us, and the people named will be ones for whim we and the other groups have worked.

We will also be marking the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
