We have received this e-mail from the Central America coordinator about Beatriz –

Dear friends

Finally, after all that anguish and waiting, doctors performed a caesarean section late last night and Beatriz is recovering now in hospital. The baby only survived for several hours, since, as doctors had predicted, it was missing a large part of its brain and skull.

A huge thank you to everyone who took action to support Beatriz and to demand that the Salvadoran authorities act to save Beatriz's life.

But our efforts are still necessary elsewhere: I attach an e-mail about current events in Turkey and a death penalty action, calling on the Governor of Florida not to accept a Bill which would speed up executions in that state.
