Prisoners of Consiquense - Mayfair & Soho Fundraising Walk

Yesterday evening, our group had another successful fundraising walk around Borough in South London. Thirteen people attended, eight of us from Mayfair & Soho Group. Some of the places on the itinery were; Southwalk Cathedral, Guy's Hospital, The George Pub/Inn - an old coaching inn, Tolbot Coaching Depot, Borough High St and prison - where Dickens' father and family were held, old St Thomas' Hospital - where it was originally situated near London Bridge Station, parts of Dickensian London, Alms Houses - originally built to help prostitutes off the streets and into a better life, an old cemetry in borough where people who weren't baptised into Christianity would be buried where now the main gates have become enshrined, the Clink Prison and finally onto a riverside pub for a much neaded refreshment.
