Silent vigil for Palestine and Israel

 

Amnesty International, Manchester

invites you to join us in our tenth weekly silent vigil calling for a ceasefire and the protection of all civilians in Palestine and Israel.

St Peters Square, Manchester

Friday 22nd December, 5pm to 6pm, the last vigil for 2023.

Meet from 4.50pm in front of Central Library next to Father Christmas

Please wear black or dark colours (and please dress warmly!)

No placards / No banners / No flags / No chants

 

Simple placards will be provided bearing the messages:

 

Israel: stop killing civilians

Hamas: release all hostages

Ceasefire now

Uphold International Law

Humanitarian aid now

Protect all civilians

Protect human rights

Stop war crimes

We will also provide tealights

Please note that there be NO vigil on 29th December.

There will be a vigil on Friday 5th January

We will then review and advise on the schedule for 2024, and will keep you informed
