Fortnightly Action and News 17/10/2025

Manchester Amnesty Fortnightly Action and News

Please do this action and make a difference

Although Israel has recently released 1968 Palestinian political prisoners and detainees, Dr Hassam Abu Safiya, a prominent Gaza medic who was arrested in December 2024 while working in the last functioning Gaza hospital at the time, is not among them. Dr Safiya remains in Ofer prison, where he has reportedly been severely ill-treated. He has not been charged or tried. Sign this Amnesty International petition calling for his immediate and unconditional release, as well as the release of other arbitrarily detained Palestinian health care workers.
