FEBRUARY 2022 newsletter

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.

Here is your February Amnesty newsletter containing news of our recent activities and campaigns, plus quite a few forthcoming events. In particular, take a look at the beautiful mobile that our craftivism sub-group has made as a welcome gift for the new Leader of Manchester City Council, Bev Craig.

Stop press! Please note that two day-long conferences to share ideas and plan for the annual Refugee week (June  20-26) are taking place TODAY, 7th Feb, and this Friday, 11th Feb. There may still be time to register and join for today's event if you are quick!

This month's online meeting (February 14th, 7pm) will focus on human rights concerns in the UAE, which is of particular interest to us in Manchester, as the city has several links with the UAE.

It is the time of year when we ask for voluntary subscriptions and donations to fund the group. We suggest £20 for those who are waged or on a pension, and £5 (or whatever you can afford) for others. Please contact sean.a.dunne@btinternet.com for bank account details.
