We are the local Amnesty group for Maidstone, Medway and Swale, campaigning for human rights worldwide.

We were founded in 1967 as Amnesty local group no. 37.

We are very friendly and you are welcome to join us to find out about Human Rights activities across Kent (you don’t have to be a member of Amnesty)

What do we do?

•  Campaign for respect for human rights around the world and in the UK.
•  Current priority campaigns include the treatment of refugees and protection of human rights defenders 
•  Work to raise the profile of Amnesty International and human rights issues locally
•  Raise funds through various activities

Our meetings in 2024 are rotating between the Maidstone Community Support Centre and local pubs in our Area, do contact us for more information.
