V Veradakumar , who is Secretary of the Kingston-based Tamil Information Centre (TIC) will be speaking on the work of the TIC, both locally and nationally. The TIC is also campaigning to seek a repeal of the Sri Lankan Prevention of Terrorism Act. This special talk is part of the continuing work our group does to seek justice in Sri Lanka. It follows the sucessful resolution we took to the Amnesty UK AGM last month, asking the Government to follow up the recent resolution by the UNHRC for a full investigation into human rights abuses.
