Hornsey & Wood Green Group held a very successful sponsored walk at the end of April, raising £927.  Ten group supporters undertook the 7-mile walk from Pinner to Northwood Hills in good walking weather.  We firstly followed the Celandine Route with its distinctive yellow flowers, passing through Pinner Memorial Park and along the River Pinn to Eastcote House, where we had a brief stop to look at its walled garden, coach house and dovecote. The second half of the walk took us through Ruislip Woods and around Ruislip Lido, where we checked out its famous narrow-gauge model railway and enjoyed a very nice pub lunch.
