Swimming for the cause

The Haywards Heath Lions Club's Swimarathon is an annual charity fundraising event held at the Dolphin Leisure Centre on Good Friday. Our Amnesty Group has taken part for the last 15 years, and this year two teams took to the pool on Good Friday to raise funds for Amnesty International and Headway, the Lions’ chosen charity for this year . Each team had six members, swimming in relay for 55 minutes. Team captain Hugh Faithfull said: “It was a great day and I’d like to thank all the swimmers and those who came to support us – the atmosphere has been excellent. We raised £410 for Amnesty International.”
