You, Me and the Distance Between Us

You, Me and the Distance Between Us

7pm - Wednesday 2nd November I Merlin Theatre, Bath Road, Frome I £10.50

Ellen Muriel’s new autobiographical play uses a unique blend of poetry, puppetry and song to expose her expectations, experiences and insecurities of volunteering along Europe's refugee route over the last 8 months. Since its creation in May 2016 the show has been performed in 4 different countries and continues to tour this autumn.

Ellen spent six months volunteering in Europe's refugee camps.

She gave out clothes and blankets, she made many cups of tea.

It gave her lots to think about. Like what everyone was fleeing from, why she had really come to help and whether borders were such a good idea after all.

She's put it all onstage because it needs to be talked about.

Expect puppets, slam poetry, song and role-play in an attempt to expose the humanity behind the headlines.
