Every month, we prepare a leaflet that is placed in Bishop Alcock's Chapel in Ely Cathedral. The leaflet documents some recent cases that visitors to the Cathedral may wish to hold in mind or pray for. We post this online as well every month so that people who cannot attend the Cathedral can still take a moment to contemplate those affected by the cases documented.

In August 2025, we focused on:

• Christophe Gleizes, a French journalist who has been imprisoned in Algeria for seven years
• The rise in executions in the US
• The hunger related deaths in Gaza

As well as some good news from Argentina!
