Film Screening and In-person talk

FILM SCREENING: Sat 19 July

Diss Amnesty in collaboration with Diss Palestine Solidarity

1.30 pm for a 1.45 start, Diss Corn Hall

Please email DissPS@protonmail.com to reserve your seats.

With our focus on the West Bank, the session will start with a screening of Holy Redemption followed after a brief interval with a talk and Q&A from Aidan Frere-Smith, journalist and photographer, recently returned from a second visit to Masafer Yatta.

Aidan Frere Smith is a London-based freelance journalist and photographer who has documented the oppression of the Palestinian people and is recently returned from Masafer Yatta in the West Bank.  Aidan will talk about his experiences in Palestine and opportunities and limitations of support work in the occupied territories.  He will also have copies of his book 'A Line In The Sand' to view and buy.

Please email us at DissPS@protonmail.com to reserve your seats

And share this invite with friends who want to learn more than what they hear via mainstream media.

The Corn Hall Cafe will be open as normal before the film and during the interval.  You can pre-order an interval drink from the Cafe.  Please bring water with you if you think you might need it during the screening.

We hope our screenings will increase our knowledge and understanding and do so in a community setting rather than isolated in our own homes. There will be time to gently chat among ourselves during the interval and after the film and talk if we wish; no need to rush out if you just want to sit for a while.
