Purple Finger Petition presented to Richard Ottaway MP

Rosa Shea and Bea Pollard visited  Richard Ottaway, MP for Croydon South and chairman of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee in May.  They showed him the poster signed by numerous people with their finger prints in purple, at the Central  Library on 27th April, demonstrating solidarity with the women of Afghanistan in their struggle for full civil rights.  Richard Ottaway is holding a postcard of support for AI’s campaign for Afghan women’s rights.  He has pledged his support for the inclusion of guarantees for them in the forthcoming peace process.
