A Free Performance of Even if We Lose Our Lives - St Peter's Church, St Peter's Rd, CR0 1HG - 26th April at 8pm
Ice & fire will perform the above rehearsed reading with professional actors who are part of Ice and Fire's Actors for Human Rights network and drawn from first-hand accounts. The script tells the stories of three Afghan women human rights defenders. Afghan women are too often portrayed as faceless, passive victims who are powerless to change the grave human rights abuses they are regularly affected by. But this ignores the countless Afghan women who are fearlessly working to promote women's rights and support their communities.
All welcome. There will be a retiring collection for Amnesty International.
