Bromley & Orpington Group - Day of Action on 12 May 2012

On Saturday 12 May we set up our Amnesty stall in the centre Bromley for our annual Day of Action. 

This year we concentrated on two things:

• Women's Rights (in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan)
• Celebrating 50 years of Amnesty International and the Bromley and Orpington Group

The Day of Action was a great success with: 143 people signing the letter on women's rights to the Saudi Ambassador; 136 signing the letter to the Egyptian Prime Minister; and 154 the letter to the Afghan Amabassador.  Over 70 cakes were given away along with hot tea and iced tea to celebrate fifTea years of AmnesTea.
