Arms Trade Treaty campaign stall

On a usual wet Saturday in July the group undertook a stall outside the Amnesty bookshop on Gloucester Road, in support of the ATT campaign. Despite the poor weather, a number of letters and postcards were signed to David Cameron, urging him as leader of the Conservatives to release a strong statement in support of regulation for the Arm's Trade. Many thanks to the people who stopped by in support and the volunteers manning the stall.

Presently the talks at the UN have stalled until October when they re-convene to hopefully push a strong treaty through the UN General Assembly. More info can be found here :

The group intend to do more campaigning around this area in the future. In the meantime if anybody wishes to send a letter to their local MP or MEP's to keep up the pressure then please check out the article on the web page for more info.
