November/December 2023 newsletter now available / Write for Rights 2023

I hope you are all well and will be able to spare some time, before the Christmas checklist takes over, to complete the Write For Rights actions this year.  

Please do as many as you are able to, before 31 December.  If you would like to come along and ask people to sign cards for two cases (Chaima Issa and Ahmend Mansoor), please do drop by next Saturday, 9 December 2023, between 1100 and midday, at the Chichester City Council House Portico.  A number of the cases this year are also online: these are the 'Focus Cases' where Amnesty UK believes that solidarity from the UK will be particularly helpful, but also - if you are hoping to save some pennies - there is no postage involved in supporting these online cases.

Sunday 10 December marks the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations on 10 December 1948.
