April 2022 newsletter now available

Here's our newsletter for April 2022.  We reconvened the Group AGM this week, so are starting to plan for forthcoming events, but please do contact Bob with any ideas for events you would like to see.

Bob celebrated his 40th year as Group Secretary this year: the committee and attendees at the AGM were able to share a small 'thank you' card and gift to congratulate him on this amazing achievement: this Group has been supported so well by him and we are all so grateful for his friendship and steady hand. More on this later!

More good news came on the day of the AGM, when we heard that Ibrahim Ezz El Din has been released as one of 41 detainees released in Egypt under a Ramadan presidential pardon. Margaret shares her thanks with you for writing in support of his case, and writes to let you know about our next Individual at Risk in Egypt, for whom we hope to write.
