Upcoming events
There are three upcoming events that we'd like to tell you about:
The first event is Beeston Carnival this Saturday (13th July). We will have a stall in Broadgate Recreation Ground from 12 until 4pm, with letters and petitions to sign, as well as children's activities. We will be selling really tasty homemade cakes (including award-winning cake from the Beeston Bake-off champion!) and books suitable for light summer reading on a gloriously sunny day.
The second event is a documentary on the Pussy Riot trial in Russia. The film is showing at 8.45 pm at the Broadway Cinema on Sunday 21st July. Our friends in the Nottingham Amnesty group will be running a stall from 8-8:45pm before going to see the film.
The third event is Nottinghamshire Pride, at the Arboretum on Saturday 27th July. We are not going to have a stall this year, but both Beeston and Nottingham groups are going to join the parade. The parade will leave Market Square at 11.30am.
If you can help or want to come along to any of these events, please let us know!
