Join us at our Human Rights Education in Your Activism two-day training to learn how to deliver and champion impactful, participatory education and training on human rights as a part of your Amnesty activist role.
This introductory training will give you the tools to feel more confident delivering education and training on human rights or Amnesty's work, to adults, activists, students or young people, or to support others to feel confident to do so.
We will ask all course participants to commit to:
- A telephone call before the first day to confirm your place and that the training is right for you (estimated 15-30 minutes).
- Before attending day 1 complete the online course Introduction to Human Rights Education (estimated 90 minutes)
- Attend day 1 on 21st June 2025
What will the training include:
- On day 1 we will explore: What is Human Rights Education Participatory Methods Inclusive learning spaces
- Feedback and support for improving activity and session design
- Other tips and ideas
Who is the training for
You must be an Amnesty activist and have a network or group that you will able to support as a champion of human rights education. You must be reasonably confident talking in front of people (this training does not include public speaking skills) or have some experience of delivering training. You must be confident to take away the skills you learn to use with your group or network independently. This training will be held in person in London, reasonable expenses will be covered.
Space is limited and will be offered based on need.
