This session will cover basic fundraising skills for activists and groups who want to branch out into organising fundraising activities alongside their campaigning events. We will cover the basic principles of fundraising, go over some examples of successful fundraisers organised by activists and how to go about organising some of the more popular fundraising events, including advice on organising events in partnership with other community groups. Finally, we will facilitate an event planning session meaning you can come out of the session with a fundraising plan ready to go!
