Still waiting for the toilet

Rose George is not afraid to write about toilets, or the lack of them.  Her Guardian article points out the importance of sanitation for preventing disease and says that many countries are falling short.  She says that the sanitation part of Millennium Development Goal Seven is the most off-track of all the goals.

Rose George writes of a South African minister who was not afraid to sit on toilets for photo shoots.  Most people though do not like to think too much about toilets or what goes into them and this seems to mean that not enough is spent on sanitation.
