At the Lowry in Salford, a play about slavery

In a Salford theatre a play about slavery is showing.  Mende Nazer was a child in Sudan sold into slavery.  Seven years later she was passed to a diplomat's family in London and then she escaped and sought asylum.   She has advised on making the production authentic.

Slave: A Question of Freedom is performed by the Feelgood Theatre company at The Lowry in Salford.

On 30 November 2010 there will be a private performance of extracts from the play at the House of Lords in London, in support of parliamentary motions.
