Hundreds of people contacted their MSs to demand justice for Palestinians

What’s been happening?

Supporters from across Wales contacted their MSs to demand the Welsh Government stop failing to uphold international human rights laws and to do more to fulfil its global responsibilities. 

Despite clear rulings from the International Court of Justice, the Welsh Government has yet to call for an end to all arms exports to Israel. Public sector pensions in Wales continue to invest over a billion pounds in companies linked to genocide, apartheid and Israel's illegal occupation.

The Welsh Government doesn’t even undertake human rights due diligence checks, meaning more public money is being used to support companies implicated in violations of international law and human rights abuses against Palestinians.

Wales must not be complicit. That’s why hundreds of supporters pressed MSs to publicly call for justice and action from the Welsh Government, including:

• Supporting an end to all arms exports to Israel
• An urgent review of public sector funding and procurement and the introduction of robust human rights due diligence checks
• To work with Local Authorities to ensure ethical investment of Welsh Public Sector Pensions
