Youth Group Action - June 2017

Take Action  - Free Kamal and Nazanin

From Friday 9 June, post-election, we shift gear to influencing the new and re-elected MPs to raise their voices for human rights.  To do this we are focussing on the cases of British-Iranian citizens Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Kamal Foroughi, who are imprisoned in Iran - a mother and grandfather respectively. Amnesty International UK is highlighting the injustice of Nazanin and Kamal missing out on making memories with their families.

For Kamal we are asking you to create an origami coloured tulip with a cherished memory of time spent with family written inside. For Nazanin, last month we asked you to think about what you would do with a day of freedom and write down your ideas on gift tags. We are hoping to share them Nazanin when she is hopefully released. Please continue to take this action (feel free to also make tulips for Nazanin in addition to the above action).
