Children's Human Rights Network - Monthly Action - June 2019
A Pakistani Catholic family, including an 11 year old child, have been arrested for overstaying their visas in Sri Lanka. The family fear they will be at risk if returned to Pakistan where safety for minorities has deteriorated in recent years. There must be a fair process before a deportation to properly evaluate the threat that families might be exposed to on return and ensure they are not returned if at risk of serious human rights violations.
