KENYA/ISRAEL: Amnesty International condemns targeting of civilians

According to press reports at least eleven people were killed in the attack. Reports also indicated that civilians aboard an Israeli passenger aircraft were also targeted when two missiles were fired shortly after take-off from Mombasa airport.

'There can be no justification for the deliberate targeting of unarmed civilians. We unequivocally condemn all such attacks. The Kenyan authorities should launch an immediate investigation into these attacks and the perpetrators should be brought to justice', Amnesty International said today.
